Lauren originally found us through their friends, Jess + Teddy, who also happened to be previous clients of ours. The couple met while attending the law school at The University of South Carolina. I knew this would be a stunning event, and the team at Lauryn Prattes Events did not disappoint. Loved editing this trailer together for these two.

We love filming weddings in big cities, and Washington DC is at the top of that list. There is something uniquely nostaglic about filming an event literally blocks away from our Nation's Capitol. There were so many interesting locations for Emma + Chris' entire wedding day, which kept us on our toes, and surely did not disappoint visually. I am amazed that we are still able to incorporate vintage super8 film into our wedding trailers and films, and as long as our couple's still have desire for the aesthetic, we will keep this medium of filmmaking in our repertoire. photography- Justine Ungaro

These two were such a joy to work with, and Pippin Hill was the perfect backdrop for their gorgeous fall wedding. I was completely blown away by the colorful florals that Jenn created for Whitney + Cameron's big day! Such a fun team to work with that evening. Also, there were some really heart felt toasts given at the reception, so I thought it would be fitting to incorporate a longer super8 film segment into the couple's wedding trailer.Cameron + Whitney's wedding was recently featured on Style Me Pretty.

Shot in Queenstown, Maryland, Christine and Adam’s day began with a beautiful ceremony that had all the marks of a traditional Jewish wedding. There was the signing of the ketubah‒the marriage contract‒there was the drinking of wine and breaking of glass, and the couple gave their vows to one another under the symbolic chuppah. During their vows, Adam even gave Christine a gift to mark the occasion: a brick taken from the wall where the couple first met, representing their strong foundation. Very unique and very thoughtful. After the ceremony, the sunny day gave way to clouds and then rain later in the evening, but that didn’t stop the celebration. As one of Christine’s bridesmaids put it, the rain was “proof that they would be able to weather any storm.” Sun or clouds, rain or not, Christine and Adam’s wedding day was, in the full meaning of the word, awesome. Please enjoy their trailer!

Last June we helped coordinate a styled shoot w/ Amanda Gray + Laura Gordon in beautiful Arrington, Virginia. You can watch the small super 8 film I created below. I was amazed by the florals that Jenn Pineau of Nature Composed created for this shoot {especially the chapel set up...wow}! Everything came together so well, and it was a joy to work with so many talented friends {full vendor credits in vimeo link}. That day was quite hot but everyone's positive attitudes and hard work paid off. Last week our shoot was published on Magnolia Rouge! Laura's images are always so stunning, so please go have a look! I've waited a long time to share this one. Loved everything about this plantation wedding which was held on the grounds of Wesley's family estate in Georgetown, SC. There were entirely too many details + moments to show on film in this gorgeous southern soirée. How fitting that this wedding was recently published in the new Southern Weddings V7 magazine! Be sure to watch the surprise live video at the end of their wedding trailer...it was a special surprise from Beth Ann's father!

“She commands the attention of everyone when she enters the room.”
Every aspect of Rachel and Rob’s wedding was filled with personal touches; from the record-album invitations, to their post-ceremony stroll through downtown Charlottesville, all the way down to Rob’s sparkling boots, every moment of their day showcased both who they are as individuals and as a couple. Even the venues held a special importance for them. The reception was held where Rachel works, and Rob has been doing lighting and sound for the Jefferson Theater, where their ceremony was held, for years. Being a huge fan of film and the theater, I’ve always loved the idea of having a wedding in that type of environment, and watching Rachel and Rob get married in front of the Jefferson Theater stage, you can tell it’s the perfect fit for them. It was a blast to work on such a beautiful and fun wedding, especially one where you can see so much of the couple’s personality all throughout the day. I hope you’ll enjoy their wedding trailer! -Austin {editor}

I was scrolling online a few weeks ago and noticed that one of our 2013 couple's made the cover of Virginia Living! Instantly it brought me back to that night at The Homestead. What a fun and memorable wedding that was. The couple actually had custom 90's wayfarer sunglasses made with the hashtag #teddygettingmarried =) The picture I saw online of the couple was just a preview, so had to wait for the magazine to come out to new stands. The other day I popped into B&N and was excited to Jess and Teddy right there on the front cover!
Such a great photo taken by Jeff Greenough, who we love working with...and who I swear either lives at The Greenbrier, or The Homestead because I always see him working weddings at those venues! Anyway, be sure to pick up the new Virginia Living magazine and enjoy watching Jess + Teddy's trailer below.
This was a very special wedding for us. We've gotten to know Nick and Joy over the past year here in Lynchburg, and jumped at the opportunity to shoot their wedding this past Fall in Virginia Beach. Nick and I hit it off pretty quick since we both surf, and he being from Huntington Beach, CA. When I found out Joy was from Virginia Beach like me, it made this process that much more exciting to be a part of. It's a real treat when our clients become friends, and I've been looking forward to their wedding for quite awhile.What was even more awesome was the reception venue they booked, used to be a restaurant I worked at when I lived in VB! This restaurant was also the same location where I had a dvd release party for an independent surf film I produced in 2006. Thank you guys for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful inlet wedding. Best wishes and Merry Christmas to you both, looking forward to visiting you guys at the beach next year! photography- Andi Grant Photography

I've waited well over a year to post this trailer. The Prentiss wedding was truly a dream event! Every detail planned for this day was the crème de la crème, and we were fortunate enough to be part of the team. It was a bit overwhelming with a total of 9 media personnels scattered around the grounds of the private estate (3 staff photographers from MSW, 3 wedding photographers, and our three cinematographers). Even with such an exorbitant amount of vendors present, the day still flowed naturally thanks to Easton Events. No one felt more at ease that day than the couple themselves, Kennedy + Greg. Everyone present at the wedding, and anyone who watched their trailer below could feel how heart felt their vows were, and how absorbed they were in that moment. You can view this gorgeous wedding now gracing the pages of the new Martha Stewart Weddings, and also see the trailer featured on marthastewartweddings.com

Jordan first contacted me in early 2012, I cannot believe it has been that long since we first corresponded. She was very laid back on the phone, yet knew exactly what she wanted. In less than 48 hours she booked our services for her 2013 wedding. Later on I found out she was an avid blogger...which is something I always admire in people, especially since I am so bad at blogging regularly in general. Jordan even wrote up a little blog entry on Shaking Hands, very sweet=) In the months that followed, I loved seeing all of the details, and ideas she had for her upcoming wedding. This girl is creative, let me tell you what! So when the day finally came for the Bauman/Slagter wedding, it was amazing to see all of the DIY and Pinterest ideas come to fruition! It was such a stunning, and fun wedding to shoot...also, everyone was quite thrilled with the recent feature on Style Me Pretty! Be sure to watch till the end, there is a little funny moment from the bride=) photography- L. Hewitt Photography

Carter loves super8, and we love shooting in super8....this was obviously destined to be a harmonious relationship! Patrick and Carter's wedding was full of southern charm, and what better backdrop than rural Bristol, Va! These two love birds were such fun, and laid back folks! I absolutely loved the way the getting ready/first look footage came out...so much nostalgia comes from shooting in this old medium. Every time the developed film comes back, there is a new look, and new love from what was captured on these moving pieces of celluloid. The HD footage always looks great too, but one day we'll have to shoot an entire wedding on vintage movie film=)
Update: Carter + Patrick's wedding is now featured in the new DC/Maryland/VA Knot magazine! You can view the feature on page 86 of the magazine. Congratulations to the beautiful couple=)

Julie was referred to me by Stephanie of Diamond Events early last year, I’ve been looking forward to filming their wedding for quite some time now. When I arrived at Omni Shoreham in Washington D.C. I knew this wedding would be nothing short of spectacular. In the entrance of the Shoreham, there was an homage to the star studded list of previous guests that includes royalties, famous actors and even The Beatles. The couple had a traditional and Persian wedding mix, which includes a beautiful Sofreh ceremonial spread. Loved working with these two! Being able to film their special day was an honor and a privilege.

Hello! I hope everyone had a splendid Holiday! It's been too long since our last post. I keep telling myself "I need to blog more, I need to blog more!!". It's so hard to be self employed and literally do everything!! There were so many beautiful weddings we never had the chance to share online. Hopefully blogging will become a New Year's resolution for us. Anyway, this fall/winter has been an absolute blur (but an amazing blur=). While I was in Japan for two weeks filming a documentary, I received word that a few our of 2012 couples' weddings will be featured in several national publications in the coming months! Most recently, I would like to share Whitney + Clarke's wedding as seen in the new Southern Weddings.
I became acquainted with Whitney over the past year or so as she was the director of marketing at Pippin Hill Farm, as well as an established member of Easton Events. I was so thrilled when she asked me to be a part of her wedding team. I must say that I wasn't at all surprised that her wedding was absolutely gorgeous... I'm glad to have been a contributor to the overall event!
